For whatever reason, we get an extra day in February every four years. And 2016 is one of those, and today’s the day. Put the extra day to good use and do something kind. You always feel pretty pleased with yourself when you do something kind, so really – it’s a win-win.

Here are 5 kind things you can do with your leap day.

Make a donation

Pick a cause, pick an organization, send some cash.

Perform a random act of kindness

Pay for the coffee of the person behind you in line, pay someone’s toll, give someone a scratch off lotto ticket, etc.

Visit an elderly or lonely neighbor

Just drop by and say hello. If you wanna be a super rockstar, show up with dinner.

Babysit for someone

Adventures in Babysitting

Offer to do this for free so that a parent or parents can at least go out without their kids once every four years.

Play with dogs at an animal shelter

Help pups socialize and get some attention. This one is equally beneficially to you. Because, dogs.

Kinda Kind

Kinda Kind

It’s become my mission to show the world that not only is kindness fun and easy to do, but also that small actions can have giant impacts. That’s why I started Kinda Kind. I’m glad that your path has led you here and I’m glad we’re on the journey together to make kindness badass.
