Meet the Galeano family, one of hundreds of residents evacuated from their homes late August after the largest flood since Hurricane Sandy. First-generation Colombian-Americans, the Galeanos lost two homes and all of their personal belongings (including cars) during the 1000-year flood in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Little to nothing was salvageable with 4-5ft of water, mud and sewage in their homes. They are truly devastated and know they have to start over with very little. It’s hard to know where to begin with so much to do.
