August 1-7 is World Breastfeeding Week, so if you’re weird about this extremely natural thing, you’ve got a few uncomfortable days left. WBW calls for a concerted global action to support women’s right to perform one of the most basic of human needs in public, with this particular WBW placing additional emphasis on women’s right to breast feed at the workplace. There are an estimated 830 million working moms in the world, but only a hand full of offices provide women with clean places to pump privately. The women behind this project hope that they can not only change private attitudes, but influence public policy.

Tons of badasss moms are taking to social media to fight the stigma. So between #FreeTheNipple and #WorldBreastfeedingWeek, there’s a lot of boobs on social media, and all for the best of reasons – social change.

And it’s great to see selfies being used again for social change vs just to annoy people.
